Does anyone know how to delete scam numbers after they are blocked?

I don't recall ever being able to delete from there. You're just looking at the detail section in Recents. You delete from the main Recents list.

Delete it from contacts, before this update, I could block the caller and then delete the caller from the phone altogether which is different from just deleting the call ... sorry if it sounds confusing,
now I have a list of blocked numbers that I cannot DELETE from the phone
If my phone allows the call to come thru they must be in my contacts... these calls don’t come thru unknown caller and I was able to delete every single one
If they are being shown as potential spam, they are not in your contacts.
Go to Contacts and check for yourself.
Ok so you won’t think I have no clue. I just received a scam call (the first pic) on the second picture there used to be an EDIT feature which would allow you to DELETE the caller contact, that edit feature is gone
Those directions are for someone who is already a contact (Located the contact....) not for someone from Recents. For someone who is already in your contacts, those instructions are absolutely correct.

Why are you adding them to your contacts in the first place? There's no need to do that. Just block them from Recents. However, now that they're there, just delete them from Contacts like you would any other contact. Open the contact you want to delete. Tap "Edit" in the upper right corner. Swipe to the bottom of the contact. Tap "Delete Contact". Tap "Done" in the upper right corner.

Sorry this sounds confusing... I thank you for your input. I don’t personally add a scam caller to my contacts and my phone is set to block callers that are not in my contacts, therefore if I receive a call from a scam caller this feature is not working. As I said I was able to block the number and delete the contact.

Delete them from where? If you mean from your call list, you delete them the same way you delete anything else in the list. Put your finger on the entry, pull to the left, tap delete.
