Quick Start - "unable to complete data transfer“ what should I do?

I think I’ve tried More than 20 times already: transferring everything from the old iPhone 6 (iOS 12.4) to the new iPhone 11(iOS 13.1.3)

The Quick Start function starts every time very normally. But towards to the almost finish, it shows a claimant icon with a message “unable to complete data transfer”

I’ve also tried using the iTunes, which was also very unsuccessful. Somehow I have made a back up of the old phone, but it never restores on the new iPhone. Even worse, the iTunes always fails in making a new back up either.

this is really annoying and I wasted too much time on this. Can anyone help?

Hey there newzapster,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you’re having some issues with Quick Start and backing up your iPhone. I’ll be happy to help.

For the issues with creating and restoring a backup, go through the steps in these links to help with these issues:

If you can't back up your iOS or iPadOS device to a computer or restore it from a backup

If you can't back up to iCloud or restore from iCloud backup failed

As far as the issue with Quick Start, are you migrating your data wirelessly? If so, see if you can use a wired connection as seen this link:

Use Quick Start to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know if this helps.

Cheers.
