Mono Portrait Modes not working on iphone 11 Pro Max

I just got a new iphone 11 Pro Max and can't get the Mono portrait modes like "High Key Light Mono" Portrait Mode working correctly. two things I noticed:

while in portrait mode, I can select "High Key Light Mono" or "Stage Light" but don't see a slide bar like others to lighten or darken the background.
when you take a pic in one of these Mono modes, the image captured in my photos isn't black and white (it's colored)

Help! what's going on?

Portrait Mode on iPhone 11 Pro The portrait mode is unreliable, especially using the Stage Light, Stage Light Mono and High-Key Light Mono. 1 - Despite being on mono, it most frequently yields a color image 2 - Stage lighting often does not give that effect, reverting back to the standard color Natural light mode, without the spotlight effect. I've been sure to be the proper distance away and tried both 1x and 2x focal length. I've shut the phone off and rebooted. My operating system is up-to-date (13.5.1) Is there a known problem? If you zoom in and capture a dark place with iPhone 14pro, the picture will be saved strangely. When zooming in and capturing on iPhone 14pro (videoMaxZoomFactor), the shooting screen is weird if the screen brightness is low. If you lower the shutter speed and ISO and take a picture of the dark part, the left part is saved, not the part shown on the screen. Does anyone know why?
