Music automatically plays when I put my airpods on.

Ever since the last update for my iPhone 11 Pro, I'll take my air pods off for about a minute after watching Netflix or Prime then I put them back on and my music automatically starts playing. I haven't played music in at least two days or so on my iPhone. Why does the music automatically start playing and how can I stop it from doing that without changing the automatic ear detection?
