How to recognise your EarPods (model A1748)

My friend and I have mixed our EarPods (which are the same model). Is there a way to recognise them using the serial number? (Because they have different ones)

I cannot find a serial number of my AirPods. My EarPods do not have a serial # on them and it will not show up in settings when connected. How can I find it? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Are the actual AirPods supposed to have the serial number? Is the actual AirPods suppose to have the serial number as everything else [Re-Titled by Moderator]
