Difference between unsubscribing and deleting a podcast?

If one grows tired of a particular podcast show it's easy to right click and "delete from library". So I'm a little confused why they also have an unsubscribe option. Can someone explain the difference and why the need for both concepts?

Thanks!

Hi polishedstaple,

Unsubscribing from a podcast will keep current episodes but you won't receive new episodes when they are released.

Delete from library will delete the current episode or file from your library but you will still continue to receive future episodes when they are released.

If you become tired of certain podcast and wish to keep previous episodes, unsubscribe . If you don't wish to keep the file you can delete from library and also unsubscribe so new episodes don't download automatically.

I hope this helps.
