If the link I provided didn't help, maybe if you provide more details we might be able to come up with another solution. What were the results at you when though the step of the procedure in the link I provided.

I incorrectly indicated it was solved, it is NOT.
I can send and receive my gmail account without an issue from the Mac mail app.
