Apple Watch - Wrist Burn

Bought a new Series 4 Watch about 2 months ago. Now I have a pretty significant burn on my wrist where I wear my watch. Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone had their wrist severely burned by an Apple Watch? What's the solution? Can I get my money back?

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. Seeing your doctor, and or any specialists your doctor recommends is the best thing we can suggest.

Suggest taking your Apple Watch with you.

You can take this webpage information which calls out allergic reactions to materials in the Apple Watch

If you truly feel this was caused by heat from a battery that is overheating, then you should take the Apple Watch to an Apple Store to be diagnosed. But that is a rather unlikely situation.

If the volunteers in this user-to-user forum are insufficient, use the "Contact Support" link at the top of this page, or visit an Apple Store. We are not authorized to offer refunds. We are also not qualified to diagnose medical conditions.

You should see your doctor. Some people have allergic reactions to certain metals like nickel. Since day one of the Apple Watch series 0 four years ago some users have complained about what they describe as a burn. It is not. It is an allergic reaction. The Apple Watch is not defective. As for getting your money back you have 14 days from the date of purchase to return your Apple product for a full refund. If you bought your watch two months ago you can no longer return it for a refund. I have had my series 4 watch for almost a year now and have not experienced any ill effects.

This is something I have experienced as well, I have been a user of Apple Watch since day one. I can also get it from the Sport Band.

What I can tell you, if you want to give it another try before seeing a doctor is “clean your watch”, the Series you’re using a waterproof version.

Did you exercise with it? Or got any sweatier lately? If so, this is what happens to me, after sweating and exercising this is more common. What I do now is, after each workout, rinse my watch under the tap, use a towel to dry it out and then use the feature to remove any water left in microphones and speakers.

Let us know how you’re doing, as this could be helpful for new users.
