Whites hard to view.
When viewing the screen while on my Mac mini anything that is white or real light color doesn't show up defined well enough to know what it is including some text. How can I correct this? Thanks

When Macs are new the brightness is set far too high so reduce the brightness setting to about a third.
Then go to System Preferences> Displays> Color, now press and hold the option/ alt key and click on Calibrate,
this should take you to Expert Mode, follow the instructions. When selecting Gamma try 2.2 and a Color Temperature of 6500k.

I use an Acer K272HUL as a secondary to my 27 inch iMac and that external monitor controls are difficult to use, and appear to do nothing substantial when I attempt to tweak settings. The definition of PITA.
I had to bypass my monitor controls a good while ago when things stopped working. I tried profiles in system Preferences but didn't get any improvement. Guess it is time for a new monitor. Thank you.
Adjust your monitor brightness and contrast, and/or the display profile used in System Preferences : Displays.
