how to retrieve a missing app icon from my iPad homepage

How do I retrieve an app icon that is missing from my iPad homepage? Several icons were

missing after iOS 13 update.

iPad Air 2, iOS 11

The first thing to do is to search for them. Swipe down from the midpoint on the iPad screen to get the search bar. Type in the name of one of the apps and when it appears, if it is in a folder, the name of the folder will appear to the right of the app icon in the search.


You can also swipe from screen to screen to look for it.


Your can reset the home screen layout in Settings>General>Reset>Reset home screen layout. That will return the home screen to out of the box condition and will ruin any folder structure that you had on the home screen.


Alos make sure that you don’t have any apps restricted if you are using Screen Time.
