What enclosure can I use to repurpose an Aura SSD as external storage?
I was advised to install a 500 GB OWC Aura ProX SSD to increase my storage in a 2015 Macbook Pro. I did that but I am taking it out in favor of the original SSD, combined with an external SSD to be used when working on music and video editing. I believe the factory-installed SSD (128GB) was more stable, and I am running into problems doing everything on the internal drive, and really should have never installed the OWC Aura, but just purchased an SSD, used it as an external for the heavy lifting, and went on my merry way.
BUT- since I now ALREADY own the OWC Aura ProX SSD, I would like to just pull that out, and use it as my external SSD for my music and video editing, while using the original 128GB factory drive as my internal.
Surely there must be something on the market, ie- an enclosure/dock etc... that I could just plug the Aura Pro into, making it an external drive, and then connect it to my Macbook with a Thunderbolt cable.
Does anyone have any leads on that? Or even just the type of enclosure/dock I would need? There are a lot of different connections with these M.2 PCIe drives, and it's bedeviling me to find the right one.
THanks so much guys!!!
