Magic Trackpad 2 haptic feedback stop working after 2 years usage, and Apple Genius bar gives up repairing it even without diagnosis.

My 2-year magic trackpad 2 stopped suddenly stopped working this week.

A staff at genius bar says, they confirmed it's not software problem with several check process and says they can't do further diagnosis and I have to replace it by paying $118 (just $10 below its original price)

The offer was unacceptable as I haven't dropped it or impact on it before this occurred.

If you bought it as part of a system covered by AppleCare, the trackpad would be included in the coverage. Otherwise its warranty is one year, so they don't owe you anything. The $10 discount on a replacement is something you would not often get from other companies.

The warranty time limit is not a secret that only Apple has.
