Photo app doesn’t have option to add name in people album
I have iPhone 8se. The photos app people album doesn’t seem to work correctly. Don’t have option to add person’s name to photo

You can only name the people in a photo, if Photos could recognize a face in the photo. If the face recognition did not see a face, it is not possible to name the people.

Add a person to your People album
Open a photo of the person you want to add, then swipe up to see the photo details.
Tap a face under People, then tap Add Name.
Enter the person’s name or select it in the list, then tap Done.
