iPhone XR Camera Colour Distortion

Since the iOS 13 update, my phone camera is not working properly. When I take a picture in low light, I get blue and yellow bars across the image. It seems like the shutter settings are different now to what they were and it’s related to the frequency of artificial light sources perhaps?

I also get a problem when photographing projected images where the colours look inverted in places. This is what I took vs. how it looked in the camera app as a screen grab.

Hi MoonJ.

I tried steps 1-3 and these have not resolved the issue. For step 4, a walk-in visit to my local apple store caused some confusion and a pricey repair/replace option was suggested that was not guaranteed to work, as my Phone was just out of warranty when the new OS was installed.

I do believe this could be related to the latest iOS as the timing seems very coincidental, therefore I am reluctant to spend money on this issue until there is a reasonable argument to do so. The reason that I brought this problem to the Communities page is that it doesn’t appear to be one of those run-of-the-mill issues that already has plenty of online coverage, even the Apple support pages don’t describe this issue or give any solutions.

As a student, I regularly use my camera in seminars and lectures, this is proving difficult at the current time as this problem persists. I hope there are other people out there with the same issue that are able to replicate the issue that I am experiencing and perhaps find/suggest a solution.
