After updating my iphone my Reminders no longer appear on my MAC but do appear on the phone. How to fix this? The support chat had me update to HiSierra on the MAC but to no effect.

I installed the latest upgrade for my iPhone. Was the agreement to "upgrade....Reminders" embedded in one of those lengthy Terms of Service agreements? After installling HiSierra on the advice of the chat technician, do I now have to install yet another upgrade to Catalina?
This is becoming more Byzantine with each new 'improvement'.
It was a message unlike any other Apple has ever used. It had WARNING in large red font and explained that upgrading the Reminders would make the inaccessible on the OS’s prior to Catalina and iOS 13. It also explained that updating them was not required for use in iOS 13.
Sorry, you need Catalina 10.15 if you need Reminders syncing with iOS13 :(

Can I uninstall HiSierra so I can have my Reminders sync with my iPhone again? Is it possible to install the security parts of updates without tampering with the way apps like Reminders work?
No. That’s what the Warning stated before you agreed to upgrade your Reminders.
It is the format of the reminders, not the OS.
Only iOS 13 and macOS Catalina can view the new format.
After updating my iphone 8 to ver 13.1.3 my Reminders no longer appear on my MAC. I chatted with support who had me update my MAC to HiSierra but still no Reminders on my MAC. Yet another Apple upgrade screwup. What to do?
