Printer has defaulted to double sided printing

After upgrading the iMac to Catalina, the Canon printer is defaulted to double sided printing and I would like to have it defaulted to normal printing per page.

Reset the printing system but the same thing happens after re adding the printer.

Please advise how this can be resolved.

I'm having a similar problem, and maybe it's the same problem, depending on what the OP meant by "default". In my case, ever since upgrading to Catalina, my printer only prints two-sided, even when I uncheck the Two-Sided checkbox in the print dialog box. The printer is ignoring that setting for some reason. This was new with the Catalina upgrade.

I uninstalled the printer, installed the latest Canon printer drivers, and created a new printer. But I get the same behavior.
