My phone keeps saying update requested but no update has started it has been several days and no update what do I do is not updating

My phone will not update it keeps saying update requested but nothing will happen

Are you connected to WiFi overnight? I have heard rumors that Apple no longer permits iOS updates over cellular data.

Also, is your battery level above 50%? That is another gating factor.
