Why are text messages silent on iPhone when iPad is in use ? How can I fix this?

iPhone 7, iOS 13

Perhaps you can try to reset your iPad, pls refer to this YouTube tutorial video: https://youtu.be/Bd_BWjfhE04

Pls check whether you use Do Not Disturb & Scheduled feature in both your iPhone & iPad, pls switch them off. Also when you swipe from TOP right to bottom, make sure the moon 🌜icon is not switched on too (Pls refer to the attached photos)

Actually the sounds on my iPhone are working fine..until I open my iPad. At that point I get no sound notifications on the phone
