iPadOS 13.1.3 temporarily remove apps loop

My iPad Air2 is being prompted to download and install iPadOS 13.1.3 requiring 1.76Gb which it does have in space.

Shortly after selecting download and install, a pop up asking if it’s okay to temporarily remove apps in order to install the update appears.

After selecting continue I’m returned to the begin download and install stage again.

Last night I left automatic updates on as it said it would attempt the install later but this morning it hadn’t done anything, no failed message either.

I’ve tried with auto update off too but just stuck with this loop.

I’ve 35mbps fibre but I thought it could be demand on the servers with it being such a large download.

You were correct that my 2.2gb available space wasn’t enough space for the 1.76gb install 🧐.

An additional 1.5gb of space achieved by offloading apps, which I’ll download later did the trick.

I’m not sure why the iPad didn’t manage to do just that automatically as the pop up on my 1st image suggested or why the update only asked for 1.76gb but it’s updated now thank you.

Sorry to say this but I’m afraid 2.2GB of available space is not enough. You see the Recommendations (Offload Unused Apps, Auto Delete Old Conversations & Review Large Attachments), all these prove that storage space is still not enough.

Perhaps you like to consider purchasing iCloud storage (I myself is using iCloud storage 50GB at $0.99 (USD) per month), pls refer to this link to free up storage space: https://support.apple.com/en-sg/HT206996

Hope this helps.

Nope, the recommendations are not there all the time, they show up when storage space is not enough, pls look at the attached photo which shows my storage space, it’s enough, that’s why there’s no recommendations appearing.

Another way is you can update to the latest iPadOS version on iTunes using a computer but first pls make a backup of your iPad, this YouTube tutorial video  https://youtu.be/_FXAW9WXmmA  shows the whole process very clearly, it’s very useful.

Hope these helps.
