Watching Movies from Directv on MacBook Air

I routinely watch movies from multiple sources on my iPhone or iPad, including those on Directv. I recently tried watching movies from Directv on my MacBook Air, but I get a message I need to download Adobe Flash Player. I know I had Flsh Player on my old laptop, but when I try to download it here it does not download. I am able to watch movies from other providers on the MacBook Air, but so far I am not able to from Directv. Anyone else have this problem?
