Screen Protector & Palm Guard Display Damage?

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro 13" (no Touch Bar). Recently, I have been reading about people advising against putting anything on the MacBook Pro as it could interfere with the clearance of the retina screen when the laptop is closed, creating pressure on the screen.

I personally have a screen protector, palm guards, and a trackpad protector, and I have been debating whether or not I should remove them as I am afraid to cause long term damage to my screen if I have these covers/protectors installed. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Of course you should remove them.
