Since I upgraded to iOS 13 my phone keeps asking for iCloud password intermittently, I have XS Max.
Anyone knows what's going on here?

Haven't experienced such issue since I've upgraded. Have you checked if iCloud password you are entering is correct? You can do that at https://www.icloud.com/
I have the same issue as well, I also updated to ios 13.2 and it is still happening. It keeps asking me to enter my Apple ID password, and when I do it says "Verification failed." I know I am entering the correct password since when I enter the wrong password, it says "password incorrect."
I am signed in with my Apple ID to my MacBook and have no issues there.
