I have the solution from Epson! Here are the steps:

> System Preferences

> Security and Privacy

> Screen Recording

> unlock services on bottom left

> check the box beside USBDisplay.app

You should immediately see your mirrored screen, however, mine turned blue right after, so if that happens, simply unplug the USB cable and plug back in and the projector will find the USB connectivity and you're all set.

Hello mirellaluce,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that you upgraded your Mac to macOS Catalina and your Epson projector isn’t working. You got an error message to contact Epson. I’m happy to help.

I recommend checking for any driver updates and firmware updates for your projector. If you’re unsure how to locate them, please check your manual or Epson Projector Support here: Projectors | Epson® Official Support | Epson US

If you’re using the latest firmware and driver updates for your projector, please contact Epson for additional help.

Take care.

I, too, updated to Catalina, then downloaded the latest Epson USB Display software (twice from Safari and once from Chrome). Each time I attempted to install the software (after uninstalling the previous version), then open it, the message that the software was 'damaged' came up. I am unable to display what's on my iMac desktop computer without the software.

Have you had any luck with Apple? I've tried Epson support and no luck. In my case, I have the latest driver and I can see my iMac desktop wallpaper and I can even see each active apps menu bar but it will not show the active window, just the menu bar and desktop background. This is very disappointing and would love to hear of a fix or workaround as well.
