What mouse can I use effectively with my Imac in lieu of the wireless one sold at apple stores?

Probably just about any Bluetooth mouse will work. Make sure it doesn't need any additional software to make it work.
When their software breaks because they failed to release an update before the OS gets updated, you'll want to be able to continue using it.
