It’s is some sort of bug in watch iOS 6.0.1, a force restart( hold the side button and the Digital Crown) till the Apple logo appears, and it’s gone. I am leaving screen time completely off even though i didn’t use it anyway, it was just on for experimental purposes with no restrictions. So it fixed it, hopefully an update will come out soon! Hope this helps anyone!

These are the icons.....https://support.apple.com/guide/watch/status-icons-apdce21b02a0/watchos
So the icon was from the "Screen Time" feature and looked like the attached?
For anyone finding this thread, documentation of the Screen Time features can be found here:
A power off /on just cleared it but I’d still like to know why it was there.
Bug, reset your watch.
I’m on the phone with Apple right now, they don’t know either, but my apps are telling me I’ve reached my downtime limit! I don’t even have downtime turned on! They think it’s a bug in iOS 6.0.1 will update as soon as available
I can not find that kind of icon on my Apple Watch. Is it a cellular model?
Strange, I have the cellular 5 and used to have the non-cellular 2 and never saw a blue hourglass icon. The only blue-ish icons I have ever seen up top are the water lock (teardrop shaped) and the charging (padlock). It was very top center or part of the watch face?
The blue hourglas reminds me of the time, when a Macintosh computer showed a turning grey hourglas, when it was busy or a process had crashed. Nowadays it shows the "spinning beachball".
Maybe the Apple Watch did the same.
No, it is not cellular
Top center where the rest of the icons are normally.
The blue hourglass isn’t one of the listed icons, that’s why I posted the question to the forum.
If you ever figure out what it was, let us know! Curious what it was for and why it appears to be undocumented.
Sorry, attach failed for some reason, here it is.
Yes, but just the hourglass no square. My screen time was no limited or shared across devices.
