Hi there just wanted to know if you can upload your normal itunes music library to your watch or do you have to have apple music?

Yes, you can transfer bought music from iTunes, by selecting the titles to sync via the Watch App on the iPhone.

Thankyou i thought that was the case. I had someone in a shop selling them tell me otherwise.

After syncing the music to the Apple Watch, you should see the downloaded music in the settings for the music app in the Watch App on your phone.
