Took the watch off the disc charger and it did not come on.

I have been using my apple watch with no issues and suddenly about 12 days ago I woke up and took the watch off the disc charger and it did not come on. I held down the on button and a pic or a cord and a plug in appeared on the screen that was green with a red outline. Since then it is has not come back on. Any suggestions would be helpful?
