MacOS Catalina compatibilty with scanner

You should be able to use that scanner with Catalina using the Image Capture app on the Mac. See: https://epson.com/Support/Scanners/Perfection-Series/Epson-Perfection-4180-Photo/s/SPT_B11B170011?review-filter=macOS+10.15.x

For those of you who are concerned with Epson Scan 2 not working in Catalina - I have an ET-2650 EcoTank. Before upgrading to Catalina I kept reading and seeing warnings that the Epson Scan software wasn't Catalina compatible. After I upgraded to Catalina though everything worked great. Simply upgrade to the latest software version BEFORE installing Catalina.

When you download it, it should go to your normal Downloads folder and have the name "ESICA_587.dmg"

(I just did that to verify)

Then use the following instructions from the same link:

1. Double-click to create a disk image on your desktop.
2. Open the disk image.
3. Double-click the installer icon to begin the installation.
