I am unable to FaceTime without wifi.

I am unable to FaceTime without wifi. Under Settings/Cellular, I don't see the option to toggle FaceTime on or off (although I don't have any restrictions anyway). Under Settings/Facetime, Facetime IS turned on. I have reset my network settings, and I don't have any updates to install.

One thought - I have my personal iPhone linked to my work iPhone via my Apple ID. When upgrading my personal iPhone recently, I did so my going the Quick Start route (e.g. using a device already running iOS 11 to automatically set up a new device). However, I chose to use my work iPhone to do so, not my personal iPhone. Wondering if that has something to do with the issue? Help!

I do not have ScreenTime/any restrictions enabled. I did just try to use my work phone for a FaceTime call and realized FaceTime wasn't downloaded on my work phone, and therefore wasn't downloaded on my personal phone. I didn't realize that I was able to FT over WiFi without the actual app being downloaded. So, solved...thanks!

Your phone carrier would need to support facetime over cellular data.

If you cannot see FaceTime under Cellular to turn on data, is it possible that you have Restrictions turned on in Screen Time? Is it possible that your work phone had a policy/profile on it that restricts FaceTime? Have you ever tried to use FaceTime on the work phone?

My carrier (Verizon) definitely does...I did not change anything when I got my new phone, and I was able to FT on cellular before.

That is interesting, since FaceTime should not require downloading on the phone, as it should be there automatically. Either way, it is working, and that is all that matters.
