fans run loud randomly when starting up laptop

I got the new MacBook Pro 13 inch with Touch ID, I've had this computer for about 2 months with no problems. But yesterday my fans started to run fast on start up. But it's not every time I boot up, its random. my computer is always on a lap desk so there is nothing blocking the vents, I even blew compressed air onto the vents to make sure that there was no dust or anything that could be causing it. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this? I usually just restart my computer and usually that fixes it

Try doing an SMC and NVRAM reset.

According to Apple, "The SMC is responsible for these and other low-level functions on Intel-based Mac computers:" incuding thermal management.


A suggested reason to reset the SMC is: "Your computer's fans run at high speed, even though it isn't under heavy usage and is properly ventilated."
