Audio Crackling and distorted macbook pro late 2013 after catalina update

Hey guys my late 2013 macbook pro 13 inch now has severely distorted audio. Really sounds like a blown speaker except the only real audio played is start up audio or maybe a youtube video. Again this just happened after the update to catalina. I have already reset the pvn ram or whatever its called where you hit option command p r at startup and wait for it to make the sound more than once with no fix. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
