Can I exchange Apple Watch band without returning the whole product?

My relative bought me a new Apple Watch (for my b-day) but after opening it saw he got the wrong color band. Can I exchange the band without having to rebuy the whole product? I put it back in the box it is literally brand new. It was ordered online and was delivered about 3 days ago. Thanks.
