My mom just bought an iPhone XR and there is no option for Memoji stickers. It only has Animoji and that is where we were able to edit the avatar. However, there is no option to send the Memoji stickers. How do you add it or get it to show up?

Is her iOS updated to iOS 13? Has she created a Memoji already? When creating a text do you see the 3rd option which should have 3 faces on it? That would take you to the stickers.
I read the article but it did not help. The phone keyboard does not give the option of sending Memojis with different facial expressions. There is only an icon for the Animoji option but no Memoji sticker option. I just want to figure out why that icon is not showing up.

Yes it is updated. We were able to create her Memoji through Animoji but there is no option with the 3 faces.
