I have digitized many movies on my iMac and added them to my iTunes Movies under MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. I can see them on my iMac and my Apple TV (4th gen) via the Computer app but I cannot see them on my LAN and iPad via the iTunes Store app. Should I be able to? If not, how do I watch a movie on my ipad on my home LAN that is stored on my iMac?

Home Sharing requires being on the same network, but you can still sync those videos directly to your iPad to access them: Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

One follow up question is can I watch movies stored on my iMac with my iPad when I am away from home, I.e not on my home LAN?
