Does anyone know why any exported, saved or bounced file is greyed out?
Thanks

You are misunderstanding what you see. What you see are destinations: a file cannot be a destination for a file, only folder can, so the files are greyed out. You are already inside a folder (the desktop is also a folder) so you can just click "save" (that button is not in view on your "screenshot") and it will be saved to your desktop. If you doubleclick any of those two folders, then your view will change: you'll se what is inside those folders, and if you click save, then your file will be saved inside that folder.

Files are always greyed out in a Save dialog. Only folders can be the destination for a save action. Files will not be greyed out in an "open" dialog (if the "open" action is from a program (like Logic) that can actually open those files).
You cannot save a file to a file, so that is why they are greyed out.
Again, if you just press "Save" (which is the button you should see bottom right of the dialog screen) then the bounce or export would be saved to that same folder as where the (greyed out) other files are in. You are not doing anything wrong, except for wrongly assuming that you cannot save. You CAN save.
Files are NOT a destination, they never were, and never will. Mac OS is showing them, so you can see that you are saving to a folder with some other files already in it. This is really basic stuff that you should wrap your head around.
Here you can see that the "Bounce" button is active, meaning I can save(bounce) that file inside this destination. I cannot save those files inside other files (as that would not make sense) so the files that are already in this folder, are greyed out. This is normal behaviour. If I click "bounce", the that bounced file will also show up in this folder.
Here I will bounce to the Bounces folder:
So, I clicked Bounce and now "Example" will be bounced to the folder that already contains three different files.
If I then want to bounce a second file, you can see that the first bounce is now also in this folder, and I can now bounce "Second Example" to this same folder
No, because it is not clear what you mean. Can you upload a screenshot of what you see? A "file" cannnot be greyed out.
If a destination is greyed out it may mean anything: from the disk being too full to store more files, or a disk that is improperly formatted, or a disk or folder that doesn't have the correct permissions set, or even something else.
First of all it is not wise to save anything to the desktop. But you are persevering in misunderstanding this. If you record, the files are automatically saved anyway. But you p[robably didn't pay attention as to what your initial destination was - you do not need to export anything after recording. All you need to do is to save the project (preferrably before you start recording) and then the recorded files will be saved inside the project folder.
I just installed logic pro x yesterday then made a recording. After recording was done i pressed export tracks audio files and chose desktop as destination. The file never showed up, so i tried save as and bounce too. Same problem.
So i noticed the files as dimmed when i checked folders.
I am confused because i had done this before i reinstalled logic and the wav file would show in desktop and could execute it .
ok so i purchased the new logic pro x yesterday. i deleted the old version i had. I have a usb from my dj mixer into the laptop and logic recognizes the channels as a stereo track so after i finished recording i press stop button on the older version of logic and saved as 10/27 to my desktop as well as export as audio to desktop. Always i saw the files on the desktop after it saved.
Now im doing the same and the files are not showing but dimmed when i see them during choosing a destination.
Sorry im not understanding what im doing wrong. Could it be that the library is not fully installed yet. Because i noticed that.
none of the files i saved are executable
Every way i try to save the audio recording it shows as greyed out
