My two email accounts are offline.How yo fix it

Total mess in my two yahoo mail configuration of my IMAC.

Previously accounts appeared "offline" and "unable to connect to server"

I need help to reconfigure it.

iMac 21.5" 4K, macOS 10.15

In addition to using the article rkaufmann87 provided I also suggest making sure that your account is configured correctly. This article on the Yahoo support site provides the correct settings for Yahoo mail.

IMAP server settings for Yahoo Mail

If you are like me and received your Yahoo email account from AT&T or one of their 'baby bells' then check to make sure that you are using the settings provided by AT&T.
