New Keyboard Concept?

I still love using my MacBook Pro (15") closed under my Thunderbolt display. Currently, I use a Logitech Craft keyboard (great touch). The problem with the new MacBook Pros are that if you keep your laptop closed and stored we lose the functionality of the Touch Bar. So I'm paying a lot of money for a feature I rarely can use.

Would Apple ever consider an external keyboard with a Touch Bar built in with a full-sized keyboard that feels and functions better than a laptop keyboard?

Just a wish I guess.
