What does it mean when your AirPods disappear from the Find My iPhone tracker?

What does it mean when your AirPods disappear from the Find My iPhone tracker? I’ve lost mine and it’s been been showing offline for a while, now recently they aren’t even on there. Just trying to figure out if I’m crazy and lost them or if someone stole them.

Why can I no longer see my AirPods on the Find My app? I have either lost or misplaced my AirPods and this morning when I looked on the Find My app, they showed them in the airport where I had last used them, which made since. However, when I went to look at the Find My app again they were no longer showing up on the map. Why is this? Are they stolen? Should I freak out yet?? What do I do?
