Search bar missing in IOS 13 of iPad Air 2

Dear Apple Team,

I am an iPad Air 2 and iPhone 8 user. I make sure systems on all my devices are up to date, so please don’t suggest me to update the system. Now the systems are on IOS 13.2.

Since the iPad Air 2 was updated to IOS 13, the search bar supposed to be on the left of the top notification page and on the left of the desktop has been missed.

Nevertheless, the search bar in the iPhone 8 is not missing, as you can see in the pictures attached in this feedback.

I buy this iPad for practising English, so those search bars are indispensable, which is the most important function for me on this iPad!

Was it taken off on purpose!? Can you give me an explanation? There is no way for keeping it on iPhone while not on iPad. What the Apple has done is absolutely disappointing.

And when can you fix this problem?

Thank you for your time. Please look at the pictures attached.

Regards

I too had this problem after updating my iPad Air 2. After a bit of poking around on support platforms, I found the solution. You need to swipe down in the MIDDLE of the home screen, anywhere in between App Icons. Don't swipe from the top (bezel area), as Apple support suggests, that brings down your Newsfeed/Notifications. Try swiping from the second row of App icons and the search bar will appear. This method will also work on your iPhone, although you can still scroll left to get to the search bar on that device for some reason.

Ah. Sorry I misunderstood your original question. I wonder if they did away with that function when they added "Slide Over View" on Ipad in IOS 13 which allows you to have two Apps open together without having to switch between them. You could have a Safari Search browser open in whatever App you are using without having to leave that App and go back to the desktop/home screen to search. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207582

iPhone doesnt' have that feature so it would make sense to maintain the original search functionality on that device.

Or it could just be a bug, I think there are quite a few people having other issues with the update to IOS in iPad Air 2.
