I am trying to remove an old group distribution list from my messages (text)
I search for the group and click on the '>'
All it shows is the names of the names/numbers of those in the group text with the 'i' next to they name/number.
It only takes me to their contact info.
I only want to delete the group distribution not all the contacts. I will never use that group distribution again.

Have you tried going to Contacts and deleting the group there?
Same question. Used to be able to remove names and numbers from drop-down list in text messages. Now, cannot. I can remove messages, but names and numbers stay FOREVER! Do not want to remove names from Contacts, only from the drop-down list when I get ready to send a text. I have group texts with numbers of people that I do not know and are not in my Contacts, but cannot delete them. Help, please. Apple can do better than this.
I have the same issue. I want to delete all the group contacts.
Went to contacts. I don't see any groups. I don't have groups hidden either. I looked at contacts on both my phone and on my macbook.
