Nano iPod not detected

My Nano iPod is not detected on my Windows 10 pc when I connect it not does iTunes recognize it.

I can't get the latest software for my Nano. It is ancient. It is a 1.1.3. It has the long plug-in thingy and not the newer, skinny one. I have plenty of space though but when I plug it into my pc my pc doesn't even acknowledge that I did. It simply charges it.
