I have an iPhone 4 that has been disabled. I was going to reset it to factory settings with iTunes so my grand daughter could use it as an iPod, but iTunes is gone and the new Music program doesn't seem to see the iPhone. How can I reset it and use it an iPod?

Yes using Catalina. Found the iPhone 4 in the Finder. Clicked on Trust the iPhone, and it spun for 20 minutes ... it's still spinning. So far, this doesn't seem to be the solution. Is there something I'm missing?
I tried this. It is running Catalina, but when I clicked Trust, it just spun for ever .... never stopped. The iPhone is DISABLED. Have no idea what the password is. How do I get past this?
