can I upgrade to an older OS?

I have an older Macbook pro (early 2015 Retina) running on 10.10.5 and I need to update OS to 10.11.6 or newer to run Merlin Project manager software... https://www.projectwizards.net/en/merlin-project/download


Will the apple site allow a download of an older OS like 10.11.6 so I do not have to go all the way to the newest OS?

How to upgrade to OS X El Capitan - Apple Support provides a download option for 10.11.6.
