Why is the hollow arrow always there in the top left corner? I checked location services to see if there is something that’s trying to track my location, opening every one of my apps, not working. This is what it looks like.

If you want this to arrow to not show up, then just disable "Location Services", as shown in the fourth image.
Elsewise, the arrow would show up. But, in all honesty, "Find My" seems ideal, should you not want to lose your iPhone, and have a better chance to recover/erase it.

Glad it was done!
With all the configurations made, my guess is to wait a few, for all to be set.
So, deactivate these to Never:
Reactivate them, and other services would be overruled.
turned of all of the items, but it’s still there. WTH
when i turn off location services though, it goes away
