Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Have a nice day.
I am also trying to reinstall Yosemite 10.10.5 using command R, but I receive the message that a required download is missing. What do I do now? the link you provided doesn't seem to have any troubleshooting...?
It seems that my computer slowed to a snails pace after a new version of google auto installed at the end of September. There was a post on the google site that said that they are not pushing that version any longer and they provided a link to your apple reinstall page. Is that what is causing everyone else's problem?
Thank you.
i too cannot reinstall yosemite on several machines. the service is down, or something. its definitely an apple issue, its trying to download components from the server and they just arent there..... apple needs to fix this asap.
Further to my message above, I do still have the Mac OS X Install DVD. I don't really want to go back to 10.6.7, but if I have no other choice, can I use it and then update to Yosemite later?
Thank you!
