My air pods have a lot of static when I’m lying down and trying to watch my tv (Apple TV) if I move my head around a bit the sound comes back but I better not move or it will happen again. I have tried pairing and Unpairing and disconnecting and reconnecting and nothing helps.

Sounds like a signal problem. Either distance or interference from another signal can cause this. Try rearranging the location of your Apple TV or the couch/bed you lie down on. Are there any other electronic devices in the room that might cause interference?

I do have a powerstrip beside my bed. Last night I put a pillow between my head and the powerstrip and my head and it did much better.
