How do you connect Airpods Pro to AppleTV HD?

How you connect AirPod Pro's to an AppleTV HD?

Some background knowledge: I own an iPhone 8, 2 newer iPads, Gen 2 Airpods, and AppleTV HD. Lots of users in my house. All the devices have been updated to the latest version of ios available. The iPhone found the Pro's immediately. And in finding the Pro's, i noticed both iPads automatically had the Pro's as an option. Previously I was able to get the AppleTV to connect to the regular AirPods by Setting>Devices>Bluetooth i believe is the path. Once connected it remembers forever. But AppleTV didn't automatically update bluetooth devices with the Pro's like the iPads did. And I can't manually get it to find the Pro's under bluetooth discovery. Even when all the other devices are disconnected and have bluetooth off.

What am I missing?

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 13

Hello, iChazz.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

From what I've read and understand is that you're unable to connect your AirPods Pro to your Apple TV. You've done some excellent troubleshooting steps for this issue and I'd like to help out further. You've mentioned that you updated all devices to the latest iOS, just to confirm, did you update your Apple TV to tvOS 13.2? This is required for the AirPods Pro to work: Connect and use your AirPods and AirPods Pro

"What you need

If you have AirPods Pro, you need at least one of these:

If you're updated, then I would forget all Bluetooth devices on your Apple TV, restart it, then try to pair the AirPods Pro with no other device or Bluetooth being used: Use Bluetooth accessories with your Apple TV

Keep me updated.

Cheers!

So I removed my old AirPods from the Apple TV as you said. It warned me it would remove them from my iCloud but I proceeded. Sure enough the old AirPods were also removed as an option on my iPhone. I the. Restarted the Apple TV. Once on I was able to pair the AirPods pro first then the old AirPods to the Apple TV. In doing so they automatically were added to the list on my iPhone too.
