i FORGOTE THE PASSWORD TO UNLOCK MY iPHONE BACKUP, HOW TO RETRIEVE IT OR CHANGE IT?

You cannot. It only exists on your device. If you cannot remember the encryption password for your backup, you will have to restore the iPhone to factory and set it up as new. You will need to delete that backup in iTunes as well, as it contains the password. Once you remove that backup and set the phone up as new, you will be able to turn off the encryption, and start backing up the phone again.
