iPad suddenly can’t connect to Internet

Hey-
I’ve had my iPad for a few weeks now and love it. It’s been no problem.
This morning I woke it up to check emails and got a message to say I’m not connected to the Internet.
The same happened with Safari, and any other Internet based app.
I shut it down and restarted but that didn’t help. I plugged it into iTunes and saw there was an update available so I installed it in case it helped. But still nothing.
I have a full signal strength from my wireless router.
What might be causing the problem?
Thanks.

I've had my pad since the first day it came out. I have found that I have to re-enter my Key for my modem quite often to get internet access. I've gotten to the point now that I've memorized the multi-numbered/lettered key code. I should not have this problem. We have wifi throughout the house. Don't get why I'm having this bothersome problem.

Despite strong wifi signals - a 4 bar icon at the top left on my Ipad and iTouch - both on my home network and on the network at a friends, my iPad (IOS 4.3.1) and my 2nd gen iTouch (IOS 4.1) both tell me that I am not connected to the Internet. Nor can I send or receive e-mail.

I have reset network setting; I have renewed the lease and have also fogot the network. I have powered off and then powered on. All to no avail.

I am typing this on my wireless G4 Powerbook while connected to my home system, so the problem does not seem to be with the router.

Hopefully this forum can help me solve this.

Thanks.

Thank you Andrew Stewart and thank you Forum.

My iPad started playing up about 1 week ago. At first, I could not listen to downloads that I bought. They started getting interrupted and then You Tube stopped working. This morning, I got a message to say that iPad is not connected to the internet althugh we have Wi-Fi at home.

I tried everything and then visited the Forum. As suggested by Andrew, I switched off the desk top and the router and re-started. And Bingo... my iPad is back to normal.

Thans everybody.🙂

As Kat exp[erienced so have I. That is I have tried everything listed on here - closed down the router, forgot the network, reset the ipad network settings, switched off the ipad, switched everything off - then all back on with the ipad last. It looks like the ipad is looking for the wifi network but just never finding it - and it IS there. Any other ideas?

I Have this problem too, except I can connect to all my hotspots and wifis, but I can't use it.

I Am connected to the home wi-fi as usual, but can't update facebook, access app store or use safari. All other items using the same wi-fi works just fine, and i get the same problem if I try using any of the apps via my phones shared network. i've tried rebooting the iPad, but it didn't help.

EDit: I just tried hard-reserti g as well. This didn't help either.
