It sounds like you could have an Accessibility feature turned on. I'd like you to explore the Accessibility settings within your iPhone to see which you may have turned on:
-Accessibility Support - Official Apple Support.
-Use Touch Accommodations with your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch - Apple Support.
If you do not see any Accessibility settings enabled on your iPhone, please explore the possibility of a third-party app you may have installed recently when these symbols appeared.
